Butterfly studio is the only place in Sheffield where you can join a Stott Pilates class!  Similar to classical Pilates, Stott Pilates is a system of exercises that will tone your abdominals, strengthen your back and shoulders and make your body feel at its best. 

 

Stott Pilates instructors undergo rigorous training, both with the exercises and also in understanding the underlying theory and anatomy behind them.  Stott is an internationally recognised qualification and instructors are required to do further training every year to guarantee up-to-date knowledge and quality classes.

 

Pilates is ideally done in very small groups, as the effect of different exercises can vary greatly from one individual to the next.  By keeping class numbers down at Butterfly Studio, we ensure that everyone gets the most out of the sessions.  We can also enhance the exercises with small equipment like toning balls, fitness circles, flexbands etc.

One to one Pilates sessions are available for those who want to progress quickly. By booking individually you can learn which exercises are most suitable, and have a tailor-made exercise routine written up for your specific body type. 

 

 

 

One to one sessions are also excellent for beginners as they give a real understanding of the exercises in order to better understand the group sessions.

 

About the instructor:  Eve has been teaching Pilates since 2002 and is a level 3 instructor on the Register of Exercise Profesionals.  She started out studying with the Pilates Institute, before continuing her training with Modern Pilates.  She has most recently completed her matwork and reformer qualification with Stott Pilates and is looking forward to continuing her Pilates education in future!
